    1850 (Sept): 2 d. ultramarine, Plate III, a fine four margined example used on 1850 entire letter from Scone to Newcastle, the adhesive with contemporary scissor cut in margin only at base, tied by "68" numeral obliterator (water strike) with corresponding 'Scone / Crown / New S. Wales' datestamp at left (Dec 30) in same ink lacking the linseed oil. Reverse with very scarce 'NEWCASTLE / N.S.W. / P. OFFICE' intaglio seal handstamp in black. Exceptional and attractive cover.
