    Ballon Monté No. 38 1870 (Dec 2): Entire letter to Mons, Belgium endorsed 'Par Ballon Monté' franked by 1863/67 10 c. bistre and Siège 1870 20 c. blue, tied by Paris Star 25 with 'Paris / Rue Serpente' datestamp (Dec 2, 6th levée) alongside in black and framed 'PD' in red. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Franklin" with Mons arrival cds (Dec 11) on reverse and then readdressed to Brussels. An attractive entire. Signed Jamet Maury = € 500+.
