    Ballon Monté No. 25 or 27 1870 (Nov 5): Gazette des Absents No. 5, used to Lubersac, Correze endorsed 'par Ballon Monté', franked by Siège 1870 20 c. blue, one blunted perf., tied by Paris Star with 'Paris' datestamp (Nov 5, 4th levée) alongside in black. Probably flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Ville-de-Chateaudun" or "Le Gironde" with 'Martine Briand' cds (Nov 9) and Monauban (Nov 10) backstamps. An attractive entire Maury = € 400+.
