    1855/58: Richardson printing 1 s. green, imperforate on blued unwatermarked paper, the magnificent vertically bisected example (right half) used on 1858 cover to Dublin, Ireland to pay the 6d. single rate, lightly tied by '18' numeral obliterator of Otago. The adhesive with large margins on the three sides, the small envelope with fine "Otago / New Zealand" despatch cds on reverse (Dec 27) in black with 'Dublin' arrival adjacent (April 1) in blue. A splendid example of this rare usage, #20 of the 26 recorded examples in the Gerald Elliott census. An exceptional cover for the connoisseur. Certs.
