    1849 (Jan 2): Cérès 1 franc vermilion, an unused example with clear to large margins all round, of fine fresh colour, large part original gum with merest trace of hinge at top. An exceptionally rare stamp, most especially so with gum. A fine example of this iconic stamp. Signed A. Brun, Calves, Lemaire, Roumet. Certs. Brun (2011, 2018) Maury = € 150'000.
