    Laureated Issue 1867/81: 1 d. green, perf. 12, Bell 1873 9 d. pale brown on pink, 1873/87 2 d. dull mauve, perf. 12 single and horizontal strip of five, all used on 1874 cover to Paris tied by 'Melbourne / Victoria' duplexes (May 19) in black. Slight file fold crosses the 9 d. value which has, along with the 1 d. value been lifted for checking wmk., but a delightful and colourful franking for the 1/10 d. rate for under ½ ounce.rnrnProvenance: Köhler, sale 225, 11-14 Oct 1978, lot 3602.
