1859: 1 s. blue, perf. 12 by Robinson, a single and vertical pair used with 1862 6 d. grey on registered 1862 cover from Chiltern (Sept 22) to Locarno, Switzerland, tied by circular "28" numeral obliterators in black. Fine REGISTERED / MELBOURNE in red of transit (Sept 24), oval 'PD' and 'Registered / London' datestamp in red (Nov 20) and manuscript accountnacy split '2/-' in red ink, thence via Calais with CHARGÉ in red on front and rate box in black on reverse. Small piece missing from flap but with Locarno arrival cds (Nov 24). Listed by Palmer in 'Pre-UPU Destination Mail', census #150. A fine and scarce franking.Ausruf : 300 CHFZuschlag : 850 CHF -
