Recess by Perkins Bacon 1855 (Oct): 6 d. deep blue, wmk. Large Star, imperforate, a four margined example, somewhat aged at top, used on Great Britain 1 d. pink postal stationery envelope to North Melbourne, Victoria tied by "10" numeral obliterator of Kensington. Corresponding 'Kensington / South Australia' despatch cds in black (Oct 9, 1858) on front and reverse with 'Adelaide' transit in blue (same day) and 'Ship Letter / Free / GPO Melbourne' arrival in red (Oct 14).
