    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1855 (Oct): 6 d. deep blue, wmk. Large Star, imperforate, three fine used examples, close to large margins all round, of rich colour, trivial thins of no significance and not affecting appearance, each rejoined by hinges to their former positions in the block of six, all struck with large part "CANCELLED" obliterator in black by Perkins Bacon, when donating the six stamps to Rowland Hill's nephew Ormonde Hill, an issue that led to the loss of Perkins Bacon's printing contract with many Colonies.
