    1871/75: France Cérès 10 c. brown on rose, small figures, in a horizontal pair, used with single 80 c. carmine on 1875 single rate cover from Shanghai to Lyon, tied by 5104 gros chiffres with fine SHANG-HAI / CHINE datestamp below (Dec 23) and framed PD in red. Carried on the Ligne N Steamer 'Singh' to Hong Kong and thence transhipped to the 'Menzaleh'. Reverse with Lyon arrival cds (Feb 4). A fresh and very fine cover. Signed Goebel.
