    1909: Cover addressed to Albert Eid in Cairo, correctly franked for 3 m. local rate by 1888 1 m. brown and diagonally bisected 4 m. vermilion tied by 'Gezira / Cash' datestamps (10.XII.09) in black. Mailed from a Post Office with a definite shortage of the 2 m. adhesives (see Smith page 243 and Corinphila sale 198, lot 5321) but probably philatelically inspired, nevertheless rare.
