    Mail from Russia to Greece 1869: Entire letter from Taganrog to Piraeus, Greece franked by Russia 1866 10 k. brown & blue and 20 k. blue & orange tied by Rostov cds's of despatch (Nov 14), prepaid 30 kopeks for transit to Constantinople. Carried from there on Austrian steamer and taxed on arrival with manuscript '40' (lepta) in blue crayon at Piraeus with 1868 20 l. deep blue pair tied by dotted '2' numeral (40 lepta for 15 grams under Greek / Austrian Convention of 1867). Reverse with Taganrog cds. Some imperfections with wear at edges but a scarce usage. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 191.
