    Mail from Malta via Italy to Greece 1871: Entire letter from Malta to Corfu, sent unpaid with 'Malta' cds (May 9) of despatch and '12½' (centesemi) charge marking in black (½ c. credit to Malta), with reverse showing 'Catania' cds (May 10), 'Brindisi' cds and 'Gallipoli' transit cds, franked on arrival with 1868/71 5 l. green on greenish, 20 l. blue and 40 l. rosy mauve on blued all tied by 'Kerkyra' datestamps (May 3, julian) in black paying the 65 lepta rate applicable under the Greek / Italian Convention of 1864. File fold fault away from adhesives, a very scarce and attractive entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 175.
