    Mail to Italy 1862: Cover from Athens to Genova at 140 lepta rate, franked by 1862 20 l. blue and 40 l. mauve on blued in a horizontal strip of three, all tied by dotted '1' numeral of Athens with despatch cds (May 18) at right. The cover was carried by French ship with three line PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / FRANCESI in red on front and reverse with Genova arrival cds (June 5, gregorian). The adhesives with margins touched but an attractive and scarce overpaid usage - the rate had actually been lowered to 112 lepta in March 1862. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 167.
