    Mail from Great Britain via Italy 1869: Cover sent unpaid from Manchester to Patras, Greece endorsed 'via Brindisi' carried at single rate with Manchester despatch duplex (Oct 5) and thence via the Mont Cenis Railway to Brindisi with manuscript '20' centesemi credit noted on front in manuscript, franked on arrival with 1868 10 l. orange, rubbed at base, and 80 l.carmine tied by 'Patras' cds's (Oct 1, julian). Blue and red manuscript crayon '90' (lepta) on front for single rate. Reverse with Brindisi cds, Kerkyra and Patras cds's. Adhesives touched by file folds but scarce.
