    Mail to France 1866: Wrapper band front from Piraeus to Lyon, France franked with 1862/67 1 l. deep brown, 2 l. bright yellow brown (2) and 5 l. green on bluish, all tied by dotted '2' numeral of Piraeus with cds of despatch (Dec 8) alongside. Greek 'Paid to Destination' handstamp in black and carried by the French Paquebot 'Godavery' to Marseille where two strikes of P.P. in red applied with handstruck '15c.' due marking in red. A very unusual and colourful usage. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 85.
