    Mail from Belgium to Greece 1869: Cover sent unpaid from Antwerp to Athens endorsed 'via Marseille', with 'Anvers' despatch cds (July 22) and 'Pays-Bas / Lille Paris' entry marking, struck in Paris with framed "F. 53" Convention marking in black (Van der Linden fig. 1190), thence via Marseille on the French Paquebot 'Tibre' and franked on arrival with 1868/69 20 l. blue and 80 l. carmine, both touched, tied by 'Athens' cds's (July 17, julian). Reverse with 'France / Midi' cds, Marseille cds and Athens cds. A somewhat fragile cover carried at 100 lepta rate for a letter under 7½ grams but extremely scarce. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 52.
