    1872: Entire letter from Galatz to Patras, Greece struck with French P.O. dotted GALATZ / MOLDAVIE datestamp in blue (Aug 31) with rare "45 LEP" handstamp in black alongside (Van Der Linden fig. 3330A). Reverse with Constantinople French P.O. transit cds (Sept 3). Taxed on arrival at 45 lepta with 1870 5 l. bright green and 40 l. deep mauve on blued, the latter touched at left, tied by 'Patras' cds (Aug 27, julian). A scarce entire of fine appearance.
