    1852: 50 baj. blue, a fine large margined example over-lapped by a vertical pair of 1854 5 baj. grey-black on pink oily paper, used on 1854 triple rate cover to Paris tied by 'Roma' datestamps (Aug 26) in black. Framed 'PD' in red below and notation '18/3' in red crayon at left. French entry marking in red (Sept 2) and Paris arrival cds (same day) on reverse. Tiny tear at base of cover but a rare and most attractive usage. Signed A. Bolaffi, G. Bolaffi. Cert. A. Diena (1956). Sassone = € 11'000.
