    1849/50: Cérès 25 c. blue, a superb used horizontal pair, variety tête-bêche, with large margins all round and portion of adjoining stamp at left, used on a double rate 1852 entire letter to Brives tied by 3105 petit chiffres with St. Gilles de Gard despatch datestamp (Nov 12) at right. Reverse with Nimes cds, Clermont Ferrand cds (Nov 14) and Brives arrival (Nov 16) in black. A truly wonderful example of this great rarity on cover in immaculate condition. Signed Calves, A.
