    'Affranchissement de Fortune': Siège 20 c. blue used in combination with vertically bisected 10 c. bistre on 1871 second sheet of entire letter to Guise, tied by 168 gros chiffres of Armentières with despatch datestamp alongside (Oct. 13) paying the newly introduced (September 1) 25 centimes single rate. Struck with small cartridge AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT in red at left as the bisected stamp was not accepted and charged '2' décimes due on delivery. Reverse with 'Paris - Erquelines' cds (Oct. 14). A rare, fresh and fine cover. Signed A. Bolaffi, G. Bolaffi, Calves; cert. Brun (2016) Maury 36 var = € 6'250/Yvert = € 10'000.
