    1930 (Aug. 2): First Non-Stop flight New York to Newfoundland by Mears and Brown - Specially printed  1c. stationery card uprated with special delivery 10 c. violet and cancelled "East Orange NJ Aug 1 1930" with "Harbour Grace Au 2 30 NEFW'D" arrival mark alongside. They attempted to beat the around the world record, but crashed when taking off at Harbour Grace. An additional print was applied on the reverse announcing the record flight within 8 hours and 5 minutes to Newfoundland, signed by John Henry Mears (only 25 items recorded) Muller 321 = 30'000 points.
