    1 fr. carmine, three examples including a horizontal pair, used on double weight 1850 cover from Paris via London to St. Pierre, Martinique, tied by "grille sans fin" endorsed "pr. West India Mail Steamer via Southampton" at top and with Paris despatch (Nov 29) and London cds in red of the following day. Adhesives with minor faults and close to touched margins and envelope with some ageing and imperfections; however a very rare first issue franking.
