The cover then travelled via Panama and Southampton with London (July 2) transit datestamp in blue on reverse and was charged '2s./4d.' due to pay; thence via Aachen with circular 'Per England und Aachen Seebrief' datestamp in red (July 3) and with 'Andreasberg' arrival datestamps in blue all on reverse and manuscript '27' silver groschen to pay on receipt. Some edge wear and peripheral ageing but a remarkable and early entire to an unusual destination.
