1883/99: Presentation Sheet for "Specimen / South Australian Postage and Revenue Stamps" all issues dated between 3 Dec 1886 until 1 Jan 1891, showing 3 d. sage, 6 d. blue 2½ d. on 4 d, 5 d. on 6 d., and Long Stamps first issue 2 s. 6 d. to £ 20 value (thirteen) all overprinted with various types of "SPECIMEN" handstamp horizontally in black. Base of sheet signed off by the Postmaster General "22-2-92" in ink. Some horizontal creasing affects the adhesives but a remarkable 'set' with the £ 15 and £ 20 adhesives catalogued at £ 85'000+ unused without the "Specimen" overprint. Long Stamps - Thick Postage 1906/12: 9 d. brown-lake, wmk. Crown over A, perf. 12½, an unused verticall pair, variety "Imperforate between Horizontally", of fine fresh colour, hinge remnant at top only, otherwise large part og. This error was first reported in the "Australian Philatelist" in July 1907 but was not listed by Stanley Gibbons until 1925. Just seven pairs and four blocks are recorded.
