    1830 (Feb 19): Entire letter written from La Paz to Cadiz, with two manuscript Forwarding Agent's notations on reverse (probably one from Tacna and the other from Arica?), one is signed 'Z.S.', the other 'C. Calvet'; struck on arrival in France with "P. 32. P. / BORDEAUX" in black with cds at right (Sept 25, a journey time of 218 days), thence to Cadiz where charged '6Rs.' due in red. A rare entire from Bolivia at this date and the entire demonstrates how the Spanish domination of South American trade had already dwindled.

    1850 (Dec 21): Prepaid 'Propagation of the Faith' entire letter from Lyon, France to the Bishop of Cordoba, Tucuman, Argentina struck with Lyon cds in red (Dec 21) with red 'PD', Paris transit (Dec 23) in black and thence via London (Dec 24) with 'Paid' datestamp in red. Carried via Panama and the Pacific Coast with Bolivian straight line "LAMAR" transit in green and "POTOSI"  in red on reverse to destination where charged '4½' reales due in manuscript. Some aging but a remarkable trans-continental routing and very rare.

    1853 (July 23): Entire letter from Cobija to Valparaiso carried by PSNC Steamer, struck on despatch with framed "PSNC / COBIJA" handstamp in blue, with manuscript rate '65' centavos due upon arrival: New rate of July 25, 1853 stated PSNC mail to be charged 5c. + twice domestic postage; therefore this letter weighed 1½ ounces. Rare, signed Mario D. Kurchan.

    1864 (Sept 18): Entire letter from San Bartola Mine near Calama to St. Clair, PA; USA,  with circular "LAMAR / FRANCA" in green addressed via Forwarding Agent "J.M. ARTOLA E HIJOS / COBIJA" with oval black cachet at left, mailed there with rare "PAID-TO-PANAMA" straight line in red (the sole recorded usage of this handstamp - see Parmenter & Gordon page 3/7) and manuscript '1/-' rate prepaid in red. Double arc Panama' cds on obverse and struck on entry with 'Steamship / 10' in black. Back flap missing but with faint 'Callao' British P.O. cds in black.
