    1 d. blue-green, diagonally bisected on 1869 cover from Lima to Callao well tied by COMPANIA DE LOS FERROCARRILES DE LIMA datestamp (Lamy & Rinck fig. 100) in black (June 15). Just ten covers bearing the 1 dinero green bisect are recorded, with just four recorded with the Railway Company cancellation. A very rare and fine cover. Signed Holcombe. Cert. Moorhouse (2013)

    Note: Whilst there was perhaps no shortage of the 1 dinero green at this date, it is probable that the rate reduction to 5 centavos for the Railway route from Lima to Callao was adopted by the Railway Company who cancelled this cover without the Post Office's knowledge.
