1839 (Dec): Home-made envelope and contents sent registered from Galatz via Vienna and Linz to Brakenheim, Wurttemberg struck with GALACZ and RECOMANDIRT handstamps twice (Tchilinghirian unlisted), the letter being prepaid at double rate of 70 kr. (24 kr. to Vienna, 24 kr. to Brakenheim and 18 kr. registration and Advice of Receipt). Disinfected by punch holes at Bojana and showing the Austrian registration 'grid' in red crayon at right.
