    1859:  Lapirot 2 d. blue, intermediate impression, a used horizontal pair, positions 5-6, of fine fresh colour and with enormous margins on all sides, tied by two light strikes of the barred oval obliterator to 1859 entire letter with "GPO MAURITIUS JY 9 1859" to Granville, France, with multiple transit cds's and arrival backstamps, a marvellous and famous letter of outstanding quality.
