    Gold Coast 1940, 1 d. red-brown, 6 d. purple and 2 s. blue-violet, used on air mail cover, from Accra to Tientsin, China, dated 8 November 1949, censor marks in Gold Coast and Hong Kong, with Gold Coast censor label resealed, endorsed "via Lagos, Kano and Khartoum", with Hong Kong GPO Registered datestamp to reverse dated 25 November 1940, and arrival Tientsin dated 7 December 1940, carried on Imperial Airways Africa route, then onto Karachi and Singapore, the air service to Hong Kong had ceased at this time and transfer was therefore by sea, the last leg also via sea, scarce and interesting cover.
