1846 (Dec 7): Prepaid cover and complete contents from Fremantle to Adelaide, South Australia struck with framed manuscript dated "♛ / POST OFFICE / 7-12-46 / GUILDFORD" handstamp in brown and superb framed "♛ / POST OFFICE / GUILDFORD" handstamp alongside. Carried on the "Champion" which left Fremantle on February 18, 1847. Rated '4d.' internal and '6d.' due upon arrival with "G.P.O. / ♛ SOUTH AUSTRALIA" circular datestamp (March 13, 1847) of receipt. A marvellously attractive entire of great scarcity.rnrnNote: The addressee's Marshall and Harriet MacDermott arrived in Western Australia on 2 June 1831 aboard the "Sterling", leaving for Adelaide on 9 April 1846 on the "Champion".
