    1862: Lecoq 1 d. rose used on 1864 cover to Costa Rica tied by 'Lima' cds (Sept 28) in black paying the internal rate with framed "FRANCA" at right; thence to British P.O. in Callao where prepaid "2/-" in purple manuscript with 'Callao' single ring cds in black and, on reverse fine strike of "♚ / PAID / AT / CALLAO" in red. One flap missing and some aging but an extremely rare destination for Peruvian, and indeed, British mail at this period.rnCert. B. Moorhouse (2012).
