Recess by Perkins Bacon 1851/55: Perkins Bacon (1 d.) blue on blued paper in a rich shade, a used example with good to large margins all round on second sheet of 16 July 1852 letter to Glasgow, lightly cancelled in black. Manuscript '1/-' due upon delivery, backstamped with double arc 'Trinidad' cds, London cds in red (Aug 2) and Glasgow arrival (Aug 3). Contents refer to the sailing the 'Calypso' and the health of a Mrs. Emily Eccles.
