    Lithographed by Transfer 1871/78: Lithographed 1 d. vermilion-red, perf. 11½, a vertical pair (positions 7 / 10) used on 1880 cover to New York (Maynard correspondence) tied by two oily strikes of the "A09" obliterator with manuscript '2' in red crayon at left and fine NEVIS cds at left (May 12) in black. Reverse with Danish P.O. in St. Thomas transit cds (May 13) and 'New York / Paid All' arrival (May 29). Envelope minutely trimmed at left but a very rare cover - one of only three perf. 11½ covers recorded, mailed at the newly introduced UPU rate - introduced in October 1879 and lasting until October 1880 only.
