    1856: USA Jefferson 5 c. red-brown, single example with good to large margins all round, paying the internal rate and tied to 1856 entire letter from New York to Limoges endorsed "Per Fulton", tied by neat strike of barred red grid handstamp. "NEW YORK / AM: PKT" cds below (April 15) and carried on the NY & Havre Line Steamer "Fulton", with neat "Outremer / Le Havre" entry marking in red (April 19) and charged '6' décimes due in black, the reduced charge for a Paquebvot arriving directly at Le Havre.
