    Ballon monté 1870 (Dec 23): Entire letter carried on board of balloon no. 50 'Tourville' to Norwich, franked with Napoléon laureated 40 c. orange, a fresh and fine example, tied by Paris R. Cardinal Lemoine despatch cds with framed PD in red alongside. Reverse with Norwich (Jan 4, 71) cds. Interesting entire to an unusual destination, overpaid by 10 centimes; cert. Robineau (1995).
