    RMSP 1860 (Jan 7): Entire letter from Port of Spain to Baltimore, USA endorsed "p. Mail" and "Via Havana", franked by 1854/57 (1 d.) rose-red in a horizontal strip of five, margins touched to large all round, prepaying the local and inter-island rate; lightly tied by "1" numeral obliterators in black. Reverse with double arc TRINIDAD datestamp (Jan 9) and thence per RMSP "Conway" to Barbados and the "Derwent" to St. Thomas with ST. THOMAS (Jan 14) cds in black. Trans-shipped from the "Clyde" in Havana with "STEAMSHIP / 10" arrival on obverse. File fold affects one stamp but a cover of outstanding appearance. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 170. Cert.
