    RMSP & PSNC 1865 (Dec 31): 'Sobreporte' cover from Bogotá to Guayaquil, Ecuador franked by Colombia 1865 10 c. violet and Sobreporte 25 c. black on blued paper tied by "BOGOTÁ" oval handstamp in black, used in combination with Great Britain 1865/73 4 d. vermilion pl. 7 and 1 s. green pl. 4, tied by "C62" obliterator in black. Single ring British P.O. SANTA MARTA cds on reverse (Jan 29). Carried by the RMSP British "Solent" to Cartagena and Colon. Struck with double arc PANAMA British P.O. transit (Feb 5) and thence by PSNC Steamer to Guayaquil. The Sobreporte 25 c. paying the fee for the British stamps to be added at the Consular Office in Santa Martha. A couple of minor wrinkles as to be expected.
