    1871 (February): Die Proof for the 1 d. value, Retouched Die II, printed in Prussian blue on thin hard white wove paper, with reversed "NEW" at top and "3" below the design, the thin paper with some lines from the Plate at left (this is not creasing, see the illustration in the SG Specialised catalogue on page 22) and the corners of the Proof with adhesive washed from where the Proof had been, presumably, placed on card and top corners with thins, minor corner bend at lower right mentioned for accuracy, otherwise fresh and fine.
