    Colony of Canda 1851 (May 28): Entire letter from Bytown to L'Original bearing 1851 Beaver 3 d. orange-vermilion on laid paper, a fresh adhesive with good to large margins and fresh colour, tied by clear seven ring target obliterator with "BYTOWN U.C. MAY 28 1851" datestamp in black alongside. Lightest vertical fold, not distracting at all from the beauty of this very early cover, cert. BPA (1974).rnProvenance: E. C. In April 1851, the rate for inland letters to Canada, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island was 3 d. per ½ oz.
