    1864: 1s. green, plate 1, lettered NE/NF, two copies on official letter from London to St. Helena, each tied by a London WC 3 obliterator. The letter to the exeptionally rare destination went on its journey to the US Consul on the island via Devonport. The NE stamp had the wing margin removed before use, which does not detract from the beauty of this extraordinary to a rare destination letter.
