    First Printing Group 1865: 1 real orange, a horizontal strip of four, positions 6-9 on the sheet and showing partial upper horizontal marginal frameline above two stamps, used on refolded 1865 cover to Latacunga with additional 1 r. pale orange (position 81), damaged at right and single early impression 1865 ½ r. bright blue also showing part of horizontal marginal frameline at base; all cancelled by manuscript pen line and central "Quito / Franca" datestamp (Feb 15) in black. Faults but a fine and early demonstration of the differing shades initially produced, and an extremely early usage in the second month of issue.
