    1879: Quetzal ¼ r. brown & green, a single used example on taxed 1880 large part cover front to Paris, tied by "6" numeral handstamp in blue with matching "Correos de Quetzaltenango" datestamp at right (Jan 18). Triangular 'T' marking applied in blue (an early usage of a 'T' mark - Guatemala did not join the UPU until 1881) and struck with octagonal French "Etats Unis Paq. Fr. / Brest 2" entry marking in blue (Feb 29, leap year) and handstruck '20' décimes due marking in both red and, correctly, in blue. An extremely scarce usage.rn
