Interesting contents concerning the writer's time in the Chilean Navy "I was in the Chilean Navy with Lord Cochrane in the heat of the war with Spain and I still have considerable claims on this government from that time. You must know I was taken prisoner with Captain Wicks in the ship 'Louisa' of Providence in 1820 and detained by his lordship until the Spanish were driven from Peru. I was well treated by Cochrane....I was well acquainted with Commander King and Capt.
