    Competitors of the Austrian Lloyd - Germany 1873 (July 10): Cover at double rate from Constantinople to St. Moritz, Switzerland, franked with Germany Large shield  1872 2 gr. grey-blue and 5 gr. ochre, two fine and fresh examples, well embossed, tied by light "KAISERL. DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 10 7 73 2-3 N." cds, manuscript '20 g' (grams) denoting double rate at left. Reverse with St. Gallen-Sargans TPO and Chur transit as well as "ST. MORIZ - DORF 16 VIII 73" arrival cds  (month slug error instead of VII). Cover a little bit tatty, but an appealing cover to a rare destination, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 389.
