    Austrian Levant Rates 1867 (Sept 3): Cover from Constantinople to Langenau Bohemia, franked with 1864 Arms 5 s. rose in a vertical strip of three, perf. 9½, a fine and fresh multiple, cancelled by "CONSTANTINOPEL 3 / 9" cds's in black (Tchilingirian fig. 387). Reverse with Vienna, Reichenbach and Hayda transit cds's (Sept 9). An attractive cover with a relatively rare if unspectacular usage of the Arms issue for the new rate, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 275.
