    1841: 2 d. blue on blued paper, pl. 3, lettered LF, a used example with good margins all round, neatly tied to 1843 cover from London to Preston (Horrocks Miller correspondence) by very fine strike of London "No. 2" in Maltese Cross in black. The stamp shows the diagonal smear in NW square. Reverse with London despatch cds (April 21) and double arc Preston arrival in dull blue. Small closed tear to cover at base not affecting the fine appearance of a scarce cover Gi E1vb = £ 2`250.
