    Wide Setting 1900 (April 10): Baden-Powell 3 d. deep blue on blued horizontally laid paper, a used example on cover addressed to 'Vere Stent Esq., Mafeking' tied by bold strike of MAFEKING / C.G.H. datestamp (April 14) in black. The envelope slightly trimmed at right and creased at lower right but a most interesting addressee - Vere Stent was both the Reuters & Cape Times War Correspondent and was later to become editor of the Pretoria News. An extremely rare stamp on letter.
