    1863 (July 17): Letter sheet from Verona to Siena, franked with 1861 5 soldi red (2) in mixed franking with 1858/62 3 soldi yellow green type II (2), all with vibrant colour, good perforation and embossing, tied by two clear strikes of "VERONA 17/7" cds with "P.D." alongside, reverse with Firenze-Livorno TPO, Bologna and Firenze transit as well as Siena arrival cds's. A very rare 16 kr. combination cover from the first Austrian into the second Italian rayon, a desirable postal history item. Signed Colla; cert.
