    1859: Fine impression 2 r. red, a used example with large margins on three sides, imperceptibly grazed at base, used on the famous May 23, 1859 entire letter to Marseille tied by "3½" weight marking in black. Carried by British Packet with London transit cds (June 16) on reverse in red and struck there with framed Accountancy marking "GB / 1F 60c." in black. Calais transit cds on front and handstruck '16' décimes due marking in black. A splendid and extremely rare entire. Illustrated in "The Early Stamps of Venezuela" by Lt. General C.W.
